We are an internationally established architectural practice with offices across the world looking for an experienced Financial Controller to manage the accounting function of our Middle East offices.

Overall Purpose

- To reflect the accurate status of the financial performance of the Business, whilst ensuring compliance of statutory requirements
- To maintain the short and long term financial health of the company
- To coordinate all financial transactions, systems and procedures complying with regulations, accounting principles and standards
- The liaise with all Directors, providing them with guidelines and resources to achieve profitable growth of the business

Responsibilities

- To enhance the interface and information flow between the finance function and the business through the reporting, forecasting and planning processes
- To provide policies and procedures to meet the Company’s objectives
- To work with the management team to deliver strategic leadership on financial issues
- To analyse the organisation’s revenues, liabilities, credit conditions, and other financial indicators to forecast it’s short, medium, and long-term cash flow position
- To identify and implement processes improvement and initiative within the finance function, and influence process improvement throughout the business
- To coordinate the External Audit in liaison with auditors as well as ensure the integrity of the account which should be in compliance with the relevant International Accounting Standards
- To drive all financial analysis and reporting, taxation, insurance, credit control, account payable and receivable, inventory and cost control
- To lead the finance team’s activities through the Finance Manager

Requirements

- Recognized professional Qualification in Finance and accounting, preferably a Chartered Accountant, ACMA, or MBA in finance and accounting
- Min 10 yrs experience
- Knowledge of Project accounting is essential
- Previous experience gained with one of big 4 accounting firms is an asset
- Previous exposure to working in a partnership environment is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken English is a must)
- Experience of financial reporting systems such as DELTEK are highly desirable
- Excellent MS excel skills
